Your support is important
Here are some ways to help

We are a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to maritime history and conservation, marine research and nautical education. We hold a quarter of a million maritime and nautical documents, books, images, charts, magazines, journals and ship plans and our databases provide comprehensive marine and nautical research capability.

HMS Victory

See the calendar of all our Marine and Nautical Events 2011-2012 highlighting marine art and books, maritime history and nautical education with our scheduled programs, displays and exhibitions.

Take a virtual tour of our premises "The Victory" with this slide show.

Your support is important, please see the news on our building fund for the new second floor reading room which will enable more of the marine collections –particularly our naval, arctic and biographical sections – to be more easily accessible.

"Documentary heritage reflects the diversity of languages, peoples and cultures. It is the mirror of the world and its memory. But this memory is fragile. Every day, irreplaceable parts of this memory disappear for ever." UNESCO Memory of the World Programme.
