The Nautical Magazine collection
Nautical Magazine [ISSN xxxx-xxxx] is published monthly by Brown, Son and Ferguson. Our collection is incomplete - details below. Covers many aspects of both the Merchant and Royal Navy, with numerous features from outside the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1832 to cover news and developments in both naval and mercantile matters, with perhaps a bias towards the merchant service, with a regular monthly look at A Nautical Miscellany, International News, and an excellent book review section together with articles, letters and brief news snippets. The Nautical Magazine is only rarely illustrated. Sometimes compared with Sea Breezes and Ships Monthly, this is a journal for the professional seafarer.
